Senior Manager – Design & Development SQL (Sup Tech)

The Senior Manager – Design & Development (SupTech) will play a critical role design, development, testing, implementing and enhancements of the SupTech platform, related technology stacks and other applications based on DevSecOps pipeline software delivery . The role encompasses analyzing technical functional designs, designing and developing banking/insurance regulatory forms and workflows, work with data modellers and data engineers to prepare for data ingestion and ensuring the platform’s and solution’s continuous improvement to meet the Bank’s objectives. The role also involves performing modern software development, fostering innovation, ensuring code quality, promoting collaboration via agile practices, providing effective support and resolution, and driving continuous improvement within the team while aligning technical decisions with the overall Bank’s objectives.

Threshold Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields. Professional certification or relevant courses/trainings (e.g. Java Spring Boot, Agile/Scrum, AI/ML) would be an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and SQL

Proven track record in providing enhancement and maintaining enterprise-level platforms or modules.

Technical Skills:

Deep proficiency in one or more modern programming languages commonly used in microservices development and experience with back-end frameworks (e.g., Java with Spring Boot, Python with Flask/FastAPI, Node.js, Go, PHP).

In-depth understanding and knowledge of microservices architecture, modular architecture, cloud-native development, cloud platforms and services, containerization and orchestration, and API design and management.

Extensive knowledge and expertise in relational database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis.

Proficiency in source code version control and collaboration tools, such as BitBucket and JIRA.

Strong analytical skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting complex issues.

Knowledge of data investigation and incident resolution processes.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with SupTech/RegTech platforms or similar regulatory compliance systems and solutions. Knowledge in XBRL and XML.

Familiarity with banking and insurance regulatory business processes.

Development Skills:

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA.

Expertise in development environments, including IDEs, code control, unit testing, design, and documentation.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
